Collection: Market Fresh Produce CSA
We are excited to be partnering with Market Fresh Produce CSA
Market Fresh Produce CSA started in 2009 by Andrew Strickland and Rob Glover. This service provides you with a fresh box of produce every Tuesday for a fifteen week period throughout the spring and summer and a five week program in the fall. Boxes are packed with fresh produce from their farm in Bailey, NC. Make sure to check out their products!
WHAT IS CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture - it is a contractual agreement between a farmer and consumer.
Consumers, known as shareholders, purchase a share of the farmer's harvest, prior to growing season.
CSA has many advantages:
1. Consumers receive fresh, local produce each week
2. Farmers receive capital when it is needed most for planting
3. Farmers have a guaranteed market which reduces waste
4. All the money stays in the local economy
